The Tax Department duties are to collect and enforce the City of North College Hill 1.5% earnings tax and the tax rules and regulations. The City of North College Hill has a 1.5% earnings tax for all residents, employees, business and corporations within and doing work in the city. The 1.5% earnings tax is imposed on qualifying wages, commissions and other compensation earned by residents, net profits from business or corporations in the city limits and including rents from property.
We have mandatory filing. All resident individuals and businesses are required to file a return whether or not any tax is due regardless if you rent or own. Annual returns are due April 15th. Payments of the prior year's balance and the first quarter are due at this time. Failure to file and/or pay may result in penalties and interest charges
If your employer does not withhold a city tax from your paycheck, you are required to file an annual declaration of estimated tax and make quarterly payments. Residents are required to file regardless of whether income is taxed in another municipality as we allow no credit for other municipal taxes paid. Landlords are required to file quarterly.
If you have any questions regarding income tax requirements or assistance with completion of municipal tax returns please call (931-1159) or visit the tax office from 8:00 AM-5:30 PM Monday through Friday (closed Wednesday) located at the City Administration Building 1500 West Galbraith Road North College Hill, OH 45231.
